Obama supporters black with rage over joke

I see it is not just in New Zealand that we do not have a sense of humour and have our freedom of speech and opinion curtailed by the PC morons amongst us - lucky we have the internet huh?

A Canadian broadcaster has been reprimanded for a comedy sketch saying Barack Obama would be easy to assassinate because the first black American president would stand out against the White House.

The Canadian Broadcast Standards Council issued a public reprimand of Radio-Canada, after the government's regulatory agency asked the private industry council to look into the matter before it begins its own investigation.

Canada's broadcast regulator, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, received 210 complaints about Radio-Canada's controversial "Bye Bye 2008" New Year's Eve sketch. Go here for more

It is hard to see what is so offensive about stating that a man with dark skin stands out against a white background because he does and it is funny in the context of a joke. Do we all have short memories of what the last guy in the White House had to put up with from the very same types of people that would have complained about this joke reference?

So it is OK to pillory a white man but not a black one?

And of course it isnt racist at all to appoint a Latino Woman to the Supreme Court or various other ethnic groups to political positions just because you want your team to look like a rainbow, rather than appointing the best person for the job regardless of skin colour.

Come on, time to grow up and move on. After all there is a black man in the Whitehouse now.

Keep your wallets safe!

Mr Obama has a bad case of the Chamberlains

Imagine if you will Barack Obama as a small child in the schoolyard, a bully crowding in on him ready for a biff.

He gets hit, says hes a "bad boy", turns the other cheek and continues getting hit over the term of his school days.

Imagine again if you will a young good looking Barack Obama in his mid 20s walking down the road with his best friend, when a big fellow with malicious intent lays into Barack's buddy.

Barack utters "bad man", does nothing to defend his mate and he ends up paralysed after the attack.

Fast forward to today, Barack is President and is confronted with North Korea blasting a ballistic missile over Japan, destination unknown, Barack and the UN say "bad country" do nothing and we are all left wondering what next.

These things confronted one Neville Chamberlain in the 1930s.

Appeasement towards your bullies/enemies simply doesn't work, they will still be your enemies if you do nothing but then they will know they can continue to escalate the bullying without appropriate consequence.

Eventually when you turn that much cheek you can run the risk of getting taken from behind.

Dead Cats and Vicious Bears

If you are a short termer in the stockmarket of late you would have done well over the last week or so depending on the stock that you purchased.

I am thinking you might want to cut and run soon.

Stocks like Fletcher Building [FBU.NZ] are up more than 20% on recent lows, Mainfreight [MFT.NZ] up by nearly 20%, Sky City Entertainment [SKC.NZ], Goodman Fielder [GFF.NZ], Briscoe Group [BGR.NZ], Hallenstein Glasson [HLG.NZ] and Ryman Healthcare [RYM.NZ] all up over 10%.

The NZX is up nearly 200 points, 43 of them today.

Markets around the world are up dizzying amounts over the last week and a half, the DOW alone leaping around 1000 points off 13 year lows. It gained nearly 500 points today in the third highest ever percentage gain in the indexes history.

Dizzying stats huh?

What does all this upwards activity really mean though?

In my not so humble opinion it means very little at all.

The impetus for all this upwards frenzy is Barack Obama and his manufacturing money supply in the trillions, just over the last few weeks alone to "ease the credit crises". Apparently it is a positive move.

People investing back into the stockmarket now think this is all over so they send the DOW 500 points higher?

Have we all forgotten the reality that the world is in a deep recession?

I believe moves made by Obama over the last few days mean caution flags should be raised in investors minds. His moves will make things worse in the long term.

The market should have gone down.

Once the detail of this is digested, the market will wake up to reality and continue to fall.

It is a sucker Dead Cat rally and it ain't the kind of pussycat one wants to take home.

Disclosure: I own all the shares mentioned in this article.

Bashing Obama for joke retarded

I'm not the worlds greatest Barack Obama supporter, in fact I think he is an evil greedy little socialist control freak, but be that as it may he certainly doesn't deserve the borax thrown at him by his own sensitive PC freak supporters for having a joke at his expense.

In an appearance Thursday night on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," President Barack Obama made a joke about his lackluster bowling skills by saying: "It was like Special Olympics or something." Kanzas City.com

But the comment caused an immediate stir in Washington and around the nation.

For Christ sake he is a well know supporter of the special Olympics and for people from all political sides to critique him for this is nothing short of brain dead moronity.

When is saying what is on your mind some sort of crime! do we want the prominent people to sanitise what they say and not say what they really mean?

Hell no!

With politicians we get enough of the flim flam, bullshit and political speak, this is the first time Obama has looked human in his political life!

No well written empty of content speeches to hide his true self and agenda.

Give him a break and let him become the man he really is.

Obama set to spread socialisms evil curse

It looks like the United States is moving towards electing Barack Obama on November 4.

But realists like me live in hope that this nightmare doesnt eventuate.

Forget about him being a "black" man because if you go the race way you ignore the other half of his heritage, which is Caucasian.

He is coloured if you want to go down that track and many from the left of the political sphere seem to want to revel in the nonsense that is his racial background.

If Obama is elected Americans will be electing an individual with little experience, with platitudes for policy and with an academic background, rather than any practical experience in life.

For goodness sake, writing a couple of  poorly constructed and factually fanciful books doesn't qualify you to run the most important democracy on the planet.

The largest contribution that Obama will make to the United States will be his strong Socialist streak.

As a President Obama will be focusing on bringing back big Government.

It wont happen overnight but it will creep ever so slowly across the nation.

Obama will use higher taxes for those that earn more to re-distribute to those he sees as fit to get the proceeds.

This money will be in the form of welfare; new State benefits involving housing, education, welfare for workers, hand-outs to all those that didn't earn the money in the first place.

Those of us in New Zealand know how this has affected us over the last nine years of Helen Clark's Labour Government.

We know the creeping face of Socialism and its associated welfare thrust in New Zealand has caused poverty, higher crime, poorer education outcomes, child killings and of course a disintegration of personal responsibility and a lowering of standards right across the board.

America is a proud capitalist nation and its history of democracy and freedom is at dire risk with Obama the Socialist at the helm.

That is no more apparent when it comes to his appeasement attitude to Americans natural enemies, enemies that from history have always wanted America wiped from the face of the earth and will never change that view-he wants to reason with these people, reason with madmen?!!

Nuts.

It isn't just Americas safety at risk of course when it comes to its defence security. Barack Chamberlains appeasement attitude to enemies will see that as weak and attack anyway and it puts the worlds security at risk.

To elect a man simply because you think you "need a change" or because the colour of his skin appeals to you is simply ignoring basic facts.

What about the mans substance, his record and his plan to make Socialism the centre of his administration should we be unlucky enough to have him foisted upon us by mung bean eating, Kumbya singing democrats.

Kick this faux darkie to the curb.

I have the same haircut as Obama

I have to admit it I am like Obama because I have a similar haircut-it doesn't make me Presidential material though.

O.K. lets have a full look at the article that the Left is bleating about to deflect scrutiny over secret donations, undeclared funds and lies from Winston Peters and omissions of truth from the Prime Minister over Winnie's behaviour.

Here is the Obama reference in its full context where it makes sense. From the Financial Times.

But John Key, a 47-year-old former Merrill Lynch investment banker and republican, risks arriving ahead of time.

After entering parliament just six years ago he stunned many by taking over in 2006 as leader of the conservative National party and he will become the most inexperienced politician to lead New Zealand in more than 100 years if he succeeds in winning government.

“I’m a bit like [Barack] Obama. I am not institutionalised in Wellington [the country’s capital],” Mr Key told the Financial Times from his parliamentary office. “I had 18 years in the commercial world and I will be quite pragmatic.”

Mr Key said his years in Singapore, London, and New York, where he latterly ran global foreign exchange for Merrill Lynch and spent two years on the foreign exchange committee of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, would help.

Continued

It was a small, off the cuff comment by Key, the larger part of the article mentions nothing else Obamaesque-thank god for that!!

Duncan Garner on TV3 last night is getting almost as desperate as Helen Clark.

Another fabricated non-story about Lord Ashcroft meeting John Key for dinner, and the Obamarama piece latter on in the TV3 "news".

But he conceded that his experience in finance was useful only to a point. “There are a huge range of issues you need to be across. Economics is good but it is only one part,” he said.

It is very 3rd form video studies type stuff from Garner.

FULL Barack Obama DNC Acceptance Speech Denver August 28th

Part 2 of Obama speech 9.54

Part 3 of Obama speech 9.59

Part 4 of Obama speech 9.45

Part 5 of Obama speech 2.15

Barack Obama's acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention yesterday was Charismatic, rousing, inspirational, emotional, high on Hollywood style and had words of impact, given it was 45 years to the day that Martin Luther King, gave his "I have a Dream".

What it lacked though was any content and that folks is the problem with wee Barry.

He is as empty as his emotional charged words and his suspect backing from the corrupt Clinton's and Al Gore.

Cross your fingers my American readers. Barry's dream could be your nightmare if he is elected.

VIDEO: Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream"

My curiosity has been piqued by Barack Obama's acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention yesterday.

The Internet has allowed me to check out, in full, Martin Luther King's "I have a Dream" speech given on August 28 1963-2 years before I was born.

Of course I have been aware of the various famous quotes from his speech, repeated over and over for the last 45 years but looking at the full extended play it really does hit you full in the face, heart and head.

In comparison to Barack Obama's verbose grandstanding, flashy style and little substance, Luther King's speech is not only stirring and inspirational but it contains well thought out content that Obama lacks in spades.

Have a watch, it is truly one of history's great speeches.
